Service Description

Use this service to submit a retention payment claim on the expenses incurred on the construction of the new residence. If you have made a retention payment to the contractor, you should have indicated so when filing the initial application for the refund. Once you have made a retention payment, you will be entitled to submit a subsequent claim to the FTA to recover the VAT related to the retention payment. To claim this refund, you are required to submit a refund form and select original application number to initiate retention payment application
